I finally meet little Avery!

I got the pleasure of meeting and photographing little miss Avery yesterday!  She is about 6 months old now and is the daughter of a long time family friend and his lovely wife.  I have actually known Avery's dad for what seems like forever.  He has been one of my younger brother's best friends for about as long as I can remember (and to this day denies being my brother's accomplice in stealing, almost destroying, and then ditching my car as a teenager!!)  And it was very strange for me to see him in daddy mode, but it looks like he has filled that role perfectly!  He was great at soothing Avery when she was getting fussy.  And little miss Avery is a beautiful little mix of her mommy & daddy.  I love her chubby little cheeks and her great big eyes!!  And her mommy had picked out some really adorable things for her to bring along, as you can see!  She was a little trooper during her session.  I don't think she was too happy about how hot it was outside and she let us know a few times!  :)  But she really did a great job overall and lasted for a long time.  Congratulations on your little beauty!!

 

Holly's Senior Session

Another beautiful day made for another great Senior Session.  And today's Senior gal, Holly, was fantastic!  She is a dancer so, needless to say, she made my job easy with poses and such.  And from the minute we got to her house and I saw the outfits she was bringing, I knew we were going to get some cool shots!  She had one outfit in particular that I could have just kept her in the whole time and been totally satisfied with that because she looked so amazing in it!  But obviously that wouldn't have made for much variety for her, so of course I couldn't do that.  Plus, she had other really cute outfits that we needed to use.  But check out my favorite outfit....doesn't she look GORGEOUS???  (ps...I am scheduling an appointment to have my legs traded for hers!!  lol)

Tori's Senior Session

Finally, a cooler summer day!  The temps have been scorching hot all summer, so it was a wonderful thing for us not to be melting the whole time!!  That left us to just enjoy the session and that's what we did!!  Tori was a trooper!!  She was ready and willing to go anywhere and do anything, and I thought that was AWESOME!  She sat in dirt, walked in a creek, climbed some rocks, and posed in what looked to be poison ivy!!!  And she was so easily posed it was ridiculous!!  I typically try not to overly pose anyone, but rather give them light suggestions.  Sometimes that isn't quite enough, but for Tori, that was definitely all she needed.  And a lot of the time, she didn't even need that!!  And don't even get me started on her eyes!  I think they were two or three different colors during our shoot...very piercing and pretty!  What a great session!!

First Family Vacation

We are SO excited to have just spent an entire week in Florida.  As most would probably agree, a week long vacation spent almost anywhere is always a welcome relief from the daily grind.  But this summer's vacation really stands out for me because it was our first vacation shared as a family with our little girl.  Seeing her eyes wide with awe as she walked along in the sand and looked out at the ocean for the first time definitely changed the beach for me.  I have always enjoyed the beach, but this time everything about it was different for me because it was almost like I was seeing it for the first time through her eyes.  Her amazement at the new surroundings kept me smiling the whole time.  She was completely fascinated by the sand, sifting her tiny fingers through it constantly.  And she thoroughly enjoyed having the ocean waves wash over her feet.  She didn't have one hesitation about any of it and explored everything with such fearless confidence.  I can only hope that - with a loving, nurturing upbringing - this tiny, brave, wonderful little person will hold on to those traits, as they will carry her far and make anything possible for her.  She is truly the light of my life.

I left my "big camera" behind for most of our trip and relied on our tiny point-and-shoot automatic camera (and my iPhone) to do the work for me.  (Hey, I was on vacation!!)  Here are a few snapshots, some taken by someone other than me, of our trip.

Daniella's Senior Session

Wow!!!  It's been way too long since I have added to my blog!  But tonight I'm dusting it off and adding a sneak peek of this gorgeous gal!  Daniella and her entire crew were along for this session and we had a great time!  Daniella was fun to work with for obvious reasons....hmm...she is stunning and has the longest, prettiest hair I have seen in a while....oh and yeah, her personality was fun too!  :)  But did you see her hair??  So yes, needless to say, my job was easy with such a great model!  I am so glad to be able to come back from such a long break and get to shoot someone so photogenic and easy to work with!!

Jamie's Senior Session

Well, the winter finally feels like it is over and busy season will be upon us soon!!  We are starting out with a bang, too.  I was fortunate to have Jamie as my first Senior of the year and he was GREAT!  He was a little bit quiet as most of the guys are during their session, but definitely really friendly and easy to work with!  He was up for anything and he was a natural with all his facial expressions.  Looking at him, I was repeatedly reminded of someone famous and it took me a little while to figure out who, but I did eventually figure it out!  I think he is a celebrity look-alike!  Can you figure out who his celebrity twin is?  :)

~Jack Isaac ~ Indianapolis area Newborn Photography

As you know if you have followed my blog, our baby girl was carried by a wonderful, amazing surrogate and delivered over a year ago.  Our sweet surry just delivered another baby 5 days ago, this time a bouncing baby boy of her own.  I had the pleasure of getting to capture some VERY adorable newborn portraits of him today.  Can I just say...rockstar!!! Jack was quite the little model, sleeping through everything and letting us pose him any way we wanted!  LOVE that!!  :)  Just check out how precious he is!

It's been a little while...

The winter months are always a nice little break from the busy season...more time to spend with my family, which means more chances to take photos of my little sweetie pie!  She is fifteen months old now and I just can't believe that!  She is getting so big and showing just how much smarter she is every single day.  I am constantly amazed by all the things she knows now!  She definitely doesn't miss a thing.  She has this cute little face she makes now when we tell her to show us her "smiley face."  She has the funniest sense of humor and such a great little personality already.  She definitely has special things in her future!!

Messoroch Family Session

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of shooting this lovely little family again.  I have known Dannielle for a long time, as she and I went to college together many years ago.  They are always fun to be around, and their little guy is spunky and packed full of energy.  In fact, it was nearly impossible for me to catch him in a good photo this time around!  He was in full explorer mode and was busy checking out everything thing around him....everything but me and my camera!  LOL  But luckily we did manage to get some good family portraits, so all in all it was a success!  :)

Dillon's Senior Session

In a word....WINDY!  Whew!  From inside, it looked like a beautiful, sunny Fall day.  But going outside, we quickly realized that we were going to be dealing with strong wind the whole time.  It didn't really matter, though, because we still got a ton of great photos!  Dillon is the younger brother of one of my former seniors and I knew before we even started that we would get lots of good stuff so I wasn't worried!  And just as we did with his older brother's session, we got lucky and had an abundance of Fall color, even this late in the season!  Dillon was really easy to work with!  And fortunately for us, his lovely mom also came along and she was a big help in fixing little things and making sure that no one blew away!  Overall, a really great session!

 

Michael's Senior Session

We started today's session out thinking the weather was perfect....sunny, mild...wonderfully autumn.   Once we had been out there for a little while, though, we realized just how chilly it actually was.  But, as always, we still managed to really enjoy ourselves and get some great shots of our senior!!  I was impressed that, even though Michael came by himself, he really wasn't too nervous or awkward.  Usually guys tend to take a bit longer to warm up since they typically don't enjoy having pictures taken as much as the gals do.  But he did a great job of being involved and even had ideas of his own for us to try!  Gotta love that!  Turned out to be a very fun session!!
